I want to inform you about an old credit card terminal, a Verifone VX520, which is nearing the end of its life. It will be shut down and no longer function come October.
Currently, if you have one of these older terminals and need tech support that requires a new download or even a simple change in the programming, guess what? You will not be able to fix this terminal. You will be forced to go without accepting credit cards until you obtain a new device. October is approaching very quickly, and these terminals will all be shut down and cease to function.
It is time for you to go shopping for a new device. Credit card terminals are no longer costly, probably less than you paid for your VX 520 years ago. The latest technology terminals have a full 5″ or 6″ inch screen with no more temperamental buttons.
