Here is an explanation of how to train an elephant.  When the elephant is a baby, tie a strong chain around its ankle and tie the chain to a stake set in cement on the ground.  The elephant will pull and pull to try to get free.  At some point, the elephant gives up and accepts its fate of being tied to the stake.

At that point, the elephant is trained.  The chain can be removed and a rope tied to a stake in the ground can be used to contain the elephant.  The rope and stake are more easily carried to new places to reuse. “But can’t the elephant simply pull the rope out of the ground”, you ask.  The answer is of course, yes.  But the elephant has given up and doesn’t try anymore ever again. Hi, I am Gingergaye, president of Electronic Money Company, one entrepreneur sharing with another.

Why is this story important for you to understand?  Because this is how we humans are trained as well.  We are trained by parents, church, police, teacher, politicians, media, or any other person in authority.  We hear you can’t, you are a victim, you are not smart enough, you are not strong enough, and the list goes on and on.  We are taught, follow the leader in kindergarten.  We hear it so much that we give up trying and accept our fate as victims and followers. STOP IT! The truth is that we can accomplish the impossible.  We were told that no human could run the mile in less than 4 minutes and yet someone believed it could be done and did it.  Now many more believe because one person did and no many have run the mile faster than 4 minutes.  Some people attain great wealth.  Why not all?  Why not you? Dreams are realized by many, so why not by all?

We have to dream and keep that dream alive by believing in it and taking action toward it.  When we hit one step in that direction, take the next and keep going.  Napoleon Hill says, “Whatever the mind of man can conceive, and bring itself to believe, it can achieve.”

We are entrepreneurs and small business owners who have a dream. I say dream bigger, believe, take action toward your dream, and recognize yourself for your accomplishments.  Keep it going.  When you get that dream, create another dream and continue the cycle of success!
